Our last concerts took place at Walsall Academy on 28th September 2014. All the students had a fantastic time playing as a live band and as usual, we had some fantastic feedback from all who came to see!

Students of all ages and stages had the opportunity to perform with professional musicians on drums, bass and vocals and experience playing live with a band.

The staff from Octaves opened the show, with Phil Collins ‘Something Happened on the Way to Heaven. The students continued to entertain the audience with performances of ‘Skyfall’, ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’, ‘Get Lucky’; A medley of Rainbow’s ‘Since You’ve Been Gone,’ and ‘Long Live Rock’n’Roll, ‘Counting Stars’ and the ever popular Pharrell song ‘Happy’. The very youngest keyboard students performed for the first time on a big stage, playing ‘Tumbling Pandas,’ and were so impressive that the audience demanded an encore! The concerts concluded with a show stopping medley of Foreigner songs, including ‘Waiting For a Girl like You,’ and ‘Cold as Ice,’ performed by our most advanced keyboard and guitar students.

Both concerts showcased outstanding performances from all students involved. Thanks to everyone involved for their hard work and support!! We look forward to next time!
